Kavalan Distillery has been pioneering the art of single malt whisky in Yilan County, Taiwan since 2005. Kavalan sources the mineral-rich meltwaters of Snow Mountain and is aged in a unique combination of intense heat and humidity together with sea and mountain breezes. All this combines to create the quality, smoothness, and fruity character for which Kavalan is known.
No. 2 is an exciting addition to Kavalan's Distillery Select range, intended to showcase this premier Taiwanese distillery's skill in blending and cask selection. Distillery Select No.2 is a fantastic exploration of the characteristics which masterful distillation, aging, and blending can achieve. Great for sipping and ideal for all manner of whisky cocktails!
Nose: Sweet floral and tropical fruits, malt, caramel, grape juice.
Palate: Mellow and balanced mixed berries, honey, sweet vanilla and a creamy mouthfeel.
Finish: Caramel, cinnamon, fruit in syrup with some oak and wine gums.
