A tremendous addition to The Octave collection from independent bottler Duncan Taylor, this single malt hails from Speyside's Aultmore distillery. Distilled in 2008 and bottled in 2022, this whisky spent nine months maturing in one of Duncan Taylor's signature octave casks, allowing the spirit and the oak to more fully interact than within a larger barrel. Total worldwide outturn: 83 bottles.
Nose: Floral notes with delicate, grassy overtones.
Palate: Honey and vanillans - more typical with highland expressions but very prominent here. Candied orange peel on the back palate.
Finish: Crisp, clean and short.
