This bottling is the Second product in the “NIKKA DISCOVERY Series” It was developed to “discover” the diversity, depth and unexpectedness of whisky. This particular expression is an easy-sipping Yoichi that shows off its true Nikka character. This strong character was created by the ingenuity of the fermentation process and is delicately balanced with Miyagikyo's character.
Nose: Roasted almonds, macadamia nuts, light strawberry with a slight aroma of burning matches.
Palate: Strawberry, apple, pepper and spices are much more prominent. A light peatiness is also introduced.
Finish: Peat, tropical fruit, pepper and spices.
