Working with great friends at the Sons of Vancouver distillery in Vancouver BC, the folks at 2Bar barrel rested their Straight Bourbon Whiskey in Sons' Amaretto barrels. The resulting nectar is both delicious and entirely unique. With wonderful amaretto notes, but with the full bodied 2bar bourbon notes - this bourbon is becoming a one-of-a-kind whiskey.
Nose: Hay and caramel notes tucked in here but there are some medicinal notes lurking.
Palate: Nutty notes, with a touch of dessert sweetness combining with butterscotch, vanilla, cherry and chocolate.
Finish: Cinnamon hots, fresh herbs and char notes on a short finish - showing it's young age.
