The winery, Bodegas Navarro López, is situated in the Valdepeñas Denomination of Origin, the second indication of quality in spontaneous recognition and one of the three most important in Spain. It is also one of the oldest as it has been recognized since 1932. The small geographical area of the Valdepeñas Denomination of Origin, with just 25,000 hectares of vineyards, is made up of ten small towns located on the southern edge of the so-called Spanish central plains belonging to the historic regions of “Campo de Montiel” and “Campo de Calatrava”.
Rojo Tempranillo has an attractive cherry red colour with violet shimmer, denoting its youth. Very intense aromas of red and black fruit (morello, red and black prune and raisins) permeate the nose, and follow through to the palate. It is an elegant wine with a certain freshness. The fruit flavours linger in the long finish.
