The whiskies bottled in the Cadenhead’s Enigma series are just that - unusual, hard to quantify, perhaps even slightly contradictory. They can be single casks, vattings of multiple casks, blends, blended malts or whatever else that can be found that doesn’t fit into the existing Cadenhead bottling lineup but meets the only essential criteria - that they are delicious.
Finished in Manzanilla casks, this secret Speyside bottling features earthy dunnage notes, followed by notes of chorizo, Turkish delight and dark chocolate.
Nose: Red cola, dunnage floors, sandalwood.
Palate: Salted caramel popcorn, bacon crisps, chorizo.
Finish: Tangerine, turkish delight, pebble beach, dark chocolate.
