The first thing the folks at Cadenhead say is, “it’s what is inside the bottle that counts.” The selection of casks is a massive part of that and we concentrate on it hugely. We own thousands of casks and we are always buying more so we have a wide variety to choose from for bottling now and also to lay down for future releases. This expression was matured in Oloroso sherry, Manzanilla sherry and Bourbon casks, this is truly an intriguing dram. Dessert notes and hints of dried fruit are present throughout, combining to create a sweet lovable whisky.
Nose: Orange marmalade, lemon sherbet, brown toast
Flavour: Dried fruits, malted rye bread, sticky toffee pudding
Finish: Crème brulée, golden raisins, fruit and nut chocolate
