Erasmo has chosen as its mission to seek new ways to develop the great potential of the oldest, most traditional wine producing area of Chile, the Maule Valley. In particular the dry coastal highlands characterized by poor soil and arid Mediterranean climate that give grapes a concentration capable of delivering deep and intense emotions. In the historical region of Maule, Erasmo chose to plant in its vineyard three traditional Mediterranean varieties to produce a handcraft wine, made in the old way with wild yeasts and fermenting the different grapes together, without aging or wood. The result is a wine to be drunk young, lively, juicy with a persistent fruitiness, medium body, balanced and harmonious. A wine that brings to mind the recent harvest and envelops the senses with intense aromas and flavors of ripe fruit. Best drunk slightly chilled, served as aperitif or paired with a variety of dishes, from white meat to cooked fish. Erasmo Barbera Garnacha expresses at the best the innovation potential of this area still so traditional that is capable of surprising Chile and the World with a blend never tasted before. The Erasmo wines are achieved thanks to the passion and dedication of a small group of young Chilean professionals that interpret day by day the Andean mother earth.

The manual and selected harvest took place in early April. 50% of the blend underwent alcoholic fermentation with the varieties mixed together and the other 50% in separate lots, all in stainless steel. Wild yeasts and short maceration. In June, the varieties were blended and then stabilized by submitting the wine to the cold temperatures of winter for a month and a half. Barbera and Carignan did not undergo malolactic fermentation and the Garnacha naturally contributes the residual sugar. The wine was filtered at the end of winter and bottled on 30th of September of the same year as the harvest.
Colour - Purple colored wine, deep violet tones.
Aroma - Intense and harmonious aromas. Wild berries, sweet chocolate and spices.
Palate - A young taste, juicy with good freshness, soft and ripe tannins, persistent fruitiness, medium and balanced body. A hint of sweetness in the long lasting aftertaste.
