This glorious rich mahogany malt has been matured for over nine years in American Oak Barrels. The additional maturation in richly seasoned Pedro Ximénez puncheons adds layers of complexity, resulting in a sweeter, fruitier flavour experience. From Batch 3 of The GlenAllachie Wood Finish Range.
Bottled with no added colouring and no chill filtering for flavour.
Nose: Waves of dark chocolate, plantains and sultanas, with pineapple and nutmeg.
Palate: Dark chocolate, treacle and heather honey, fused with sultanas, pineapple, orange peel and cinnamon.
Finish: Vanilla along with dried tropical fruit, raisins, and sweet, malty oak.
