Multi-award winning Glenfarclas Single Highland Malt Scotch Whisky has been distilled on Speyside for six generations by the Grant family. The Glenfarclas Distillery was legally established in 1836, on the Recherlich Farm at Ballindalloch, in the heart of Speyside. In 1865, John Grant purchased the distillery and farm for £511.19s.0d (which was incorporated into the name of the celebratory 511.19s.0d Family Cask).
Cask 900285 is a 17-year-old single cask Glenfarclas released in Summer 2020 for the distilleries Family Cask series. This is a 2002 vintage filled into a 4th fill butt. Total outturn was 599 bottles worldwide.
Nose: Dried raisins mix with creamy milk chocolate and a touch of cinnamon.
Palate: Dark sherry but surprising absence sweetness. Hazelnut brittle with some oak on the back palate.
Finish: Medium long with a delicious, creamy caramel chocolate aftertaste.
