Wiser’s has been producing popular, reasonably priced Canadian whisky since the mid-1800s. This blended, mixed grain whisky is a limited release bottling totalling only 3500 bottles for each batch produced.
Nose: More subtle than many Canadian whiskies, there is some discernible light vanilla custard aroma along with a touch of orange peel.
Palate: Full bodied, thick and smooth as a nice coating of oaky vanilla along with spice come onto the tongue. On the back of the palate the rye is very prominent.
Finish: The finish is dry for a whiskey. It begs you to take another sip and savour the flavour as it does indeed show mature wood effect.
