This Alberta-exclusive bottling of Kilchoman was distilled in 2012 and matured in a single Buffalo Trace barrel. The 100% Islay barley for this release was peated to a level of 20 PPM at the Port Ellen Maltings. and matured for eight years before being bottled in 2021.
Nose: Subtle coastal smoke with lemon peel and salted caramel.
Palate: Sweet, salty and smoky with vanilla and citrus curd. Very much the Kilchoman DNA.
Finish: A pinch of rock salt lingers alongside stewed fruit.
