Milam & Greene was created by founder Marsha Milam, blender Heather Greene and Kentucky veteran distiller Marlene Holmes. The distillery is located in the lush Texas Hill Country where the hot summers, mild winters, and wild temperature variances add spark and personality to the spirit. - They distill on a 300-gallon copper pot still in the heart of Texas Hill Country AND on classic column stills in Bardstown, Kentucky because each process produces different notes and character.
As part of Milam & Greene's independent “Single Barrel” range, each barrel is hand-selected from their growing sourced collection. Only whiskies that demonstrate a elegance and personality are bottled (total outturn is typically approximately 280 bottles). In the spirit of transparency the cask number, proof and ABV is hand-written on each label. This expression comes from Tennessee.
Nose: Almonds, cherries and vanillas with a hint of maple syrup and dark chocolate
Palate: Silky and creamy mouthfeel. Peaches, apricots and salted caramel are punctuated by a savory note on the back palate.
Finish: Spiciness ramps up on the finish but it remains very satisfying.
