A single cask Balmenach bottled by Hunter Laing in their Old Malt Cask range. Distilled in late 2006, this was bottled from a refill bourbon barrel in February 2021. A fresh and vibrant bourbon cask whisky which shows off a great spirit character from this uncommonly seen distillery. Total outturn: 141 bottles worldwide.
Nose: Sweet aromas of vanilla and strawberry jam fill the nose.
Palate: Notes of shortbread, crystalized ginger and sweet malt throughout the palate.
Finish: Long and dry with oranges a hint of spice.
