Springbank 1998 Triple Distilled 22 Year Old Single Cask North Star
This single oloroso hogshead, from Springbank Distillery, would normally be bottled under the Hazelburn label. Specially selected and bottled instead by North Star, it is an incredible single cask release; full of chocolate coated nuts, warming spiced fruit and golden syrup. Limited to only 230 bottles.
Nose : Lyle's Golden Syrup, caramelized almonds & a wee bit of marzipan.
Palate : Salted ginger flapjacks & waxy chocolate pralines on an oil powered ray-burn.
Finish : Spiced red fruit in jam.
