Presenting Batch 9 of Kilkerran's Heavily Peated single malt from the Glengyle distillery. A much sought-after whisky, this expression is a small batch bottling drawn from a mix of 90% bourbon casks and 10% sherry casks. Distilled in the Campbeltown region of Scotland this might be the perfect introduction to the region's smokier side. Bottled at cask strength, Kilkerran does not chill filter or add colour to their whisky.
Producers Tasting Notes
Nose: Notes of freshly baked shortbread, cream soda, banana loaf and coconut shavings introduce this heavily peated dram.
Palate: The creamy, vanilla notes carry through to the palate in notes of buttered digestive biscuits and custard creams.
Finish: The peat is prominent in the finish, along with hints of gooseberries to round out this dram.
