You can’t have great whiskey without great wood.
That is why Chicken Cock Double Oak is aged for 8 years in American oak barrels, twice. This process allows the whisky to extract all the great flavour from the oak, creating a robust and interesting sipper.
In 1856, James A. Miller built a distillery and started making Chicken Cock Whiskey in Paris, Kentucky. For 100 years, it was an active distillery, but market trends forced a closure in the 1950s.
In 2011, Chicken Cock's fortunes changed when spirits entrepreneur Matti Anttila discovered the brand in the Oscar Getz Museum while researching the early days of distillation in the U.S.
