J. Henry & Sons La Flamme Reserve Armagnac Finished Bourbon is an award-winning expression made from handpicked 5-year-old barrels, blended using the French Armagnac process and finished for 8 months in Armagnac casks.

Every bottle of J. Henry & Sons bourbon is made in small batches, slow-aged, in large barrels in a rustic barn on the Henry farmstead. The uncontrolled temperature in this historic barn allows the wild Wisconsin weather swings to work magic between the bourbon and the barrels. 

Every autumn in Gascony, France, local farmers start the Armagnac distilling season with the “La Flamme de l’Armagnac” celebration. This expression honours traditional French blending techniques and marries the flavours of the Armagnac region of France with Wisconsin Straight Bourbon. 

Producer's Tasting Notes

Nose: Spiced with hints of cinnamon, chilli powder, golden raisin, and hints of tobacco.

Palate: Equally spicy, with a distinctive heat mellowed by baked pear, spiced plum and walnuts.

Finish: Long and smooth.
