Trail's End 10 Year is the second collaborative effort between the two distilleries and represents a rare bourbon with hallmarks of age and heritage.
Rooted in Oregon since 1934, Hood River Distillers began by making fruit wines and brandies from the apples and pears that were going to waste as excess production from the valley's abundant harvests. Located along the Columbia River with majestic Mt. Hood as its backdrop, Hood River Distillers has been at its current facility in Hood River since 1969.
The Clear Creek Distillery was founded in 1985 and joined the Hood River Distillers family in 2014. Producers of iconic whiskies like McCarthy's Oregon Single Malt, the distillery is currently led by Head Distiller Caitlin Bartlemay.
Producer's Tasting Notes
Nose: Focused aromas of vanilla, caramel, and cherry, with warm summer pine at the end.
Palate: Caramel, vanilla, cherry, and roasted corn with a foundation of warm, earthy notes
Finish: Medium length, with notes of oak, chocolate, and caramel, complemented by a hint of cherry sweetness.
