Laphroaig has pulled out all the stops for the 2025 edition of its Càirdeas release. This cask strength Lore is the marriage of five of Laphroaig's all-time favourite casks — each with a unique story to tell.
The selected casks bring a bold and intense flavour, adding even more depth to Laphroaig's rich character. The result is a complex taste that's truly remarkable.
Càirdeas releases (Gaelic for 'friendship') are specially produced for the Friends of Laphroaig.
The 2025 edition celebrates the 30th anniversary of the founding of the Friends, and is Laphroaig's way of saying slàinte!
Producer's Tasting Notes
Nose: Notes of peat and sea salt.
Palate: A peppery sparkle, with notes of lemon, lime, and caramel, as well as flavours like minty tea, cumin, cloves, and ginger.
Finish: Long finish that begins with a bold antiseptic burst before drawing to a close with a subtle sweet citrus flourish.
