Whisky of Voodoo is a range of special, small-batch single malt and single grain whiskies brought to Alberta by the fine folks at Brave New Spirits (BNS).
The Smoking Curse is an 8-year-old Ardmore single malt Scotch whisky, bottled by Brave New Spirits for their Voodoo Series Batch No. 3. Matured in a mix of first-fill Cognac barriques and second-fill Laphroaig barrels
Nose: Medicinal smokiness from the Islay barrels. Faint citrus overtones.
Palate: Predominant grape-y sweetness from the cognac cask maturation. Dried orange from the nose and fresh oak shavings
Finish: Very long finish with a dash of eucalyptus.
