Gordon & MacPhail Distillery Label Linkwood 15

The Gordon & MacPhail 'Distillery Label' Linkwood rested in first-fill and refill Sherry casks for 15 years.

G&M has almost legendary status in the world of Scotch whisky, with four generations of the Urquhart family heading up the business from its base in Elgin.

The Distillery Label range celebrates G&M's long-standing relationship with many Scottish distilleries and showcases historical label designs.

In the mid-20th century, the majority of any distillery’s production likely went into blends. But at the same time, Gordon & MacPhail released single malt bottlings for these distilleries. 

Bottler's Notes: 

Nose: Fruity and fresh, dry Sherry, ripe strawberry, and raspberry aromas highlighted by a light lemon-citrus edge. Tangy orange marmalade develops and combines with warm cinnamon and toffee.

Palate:  Initially intensely sweet; mellowing with time and the gentle and warming spice flavours of cinnamon and clove. Creamy white chocolate develops and entwines with a juicy tangerine edge.

Finish: Medium and rounded, with fresh herbal tones, and a slightly drying cocoa powder edge.
