Truly an enigma, this 40-year-old whisky from a mysterious, anonymous Highland distillery was distilled in 1985 and fully matured in Bourbon hogsheads.
It was bottled under Cadenhead's Enigma range at 44.5% ABV, without chill filtration or added colour.
Cadenhead Tasting Notes
Nose: An old-school whisky. Musty, brandy snaps, ginger, almond flakes.
Palate: Clementines, shortcrust pastry, gingernuts, aniseed, grilled pineapple.
Finish: Vanilla ice cream, lemongrass, applewood, Serrano ham.
