Not known for being in the limelight, even in the modern world of Scottish whisky aficionados, yet Single Cask Nation has bottled one of the richest expressions in years.
Huge flavour that is wonderfully balanced.
Nose: Deep aromas of sticky toffee pudding. Vanilla lurking in the background.
Palate: Sweet beginnings, but it becomes drier as you hold it on the palate. Terrific tannin tug at the end.
Finish: Bold and spicy with mocha developing towards the end. Warming, sherry notes accompany all these robust flavours.
