Master distiller, Marlene Holmes, and her whiskey team distill in both Blanco, Texas and Bardstown, Kentucky. The mash bill for both Texas and Kentucky distillates is 70% corn, 22% malted rye, and 8% barley with our proprietary yeast recipe. The whiskey is then aged in barrels across three states before coming to Texas for finishing, batching, proofing and bottling.
Each bottle of Milam & Greene Triple Cask is a blend of three hand-selected straight bourbon whiskies from three states: M&G's premium Texas bourbon made in a 300-gallon pot still for a pop of spice, married with M&G's Kentucky whiskey made in a continuous column still for vanillas and fruits and with sourced vintage Tennessee whiskey for structure and tannins.
Producer's Tasting Notes
Nose: Refined and elegant, with pops of vanilla, florals and spice.
Palate: Creamy and soft, surprisingly smooth for a 94 proof spirit.
Finish: Medium warm finish, with structure and tannins.
