First planned in 1896 by the sons of John Dewar, Aberfeldy Distillery is the only Scotch whisky distillery built by the Dewar family.
Aberfeldy 15 Cadillac Cask Finish is a limited-edition Highland single malt that bridges traditional Scottish distilling and French winemaking.
This 15-year-old expression was initially aged in a mix of refill barrels and refill hogsheads before finishing for six months in rare French Semillon Cadillac white wine casks from a sustainably farmed, 40-hectare estate in southern Bordeaux.
Nose: Fruit-forward and floral. Gentle grape/wine notes.
Palate: Sweet dessert grapes balanced by sour citrus fruits, fresh oven bread. Slightly thinner mouthfeel.
Finish: Short finish. Interesting mix of tart: lemons and peaches; and, sweet: grapes, honey and caramel.
