In 2015, Thomas and Kim Bard bought an old schoolhouse in Graham, Kentucky and turned it into a modern distillery.
Bard Cinder & Smoke Bourbon is made from a traditional mash bill of corn, rye and malted barley, then finished in Spanish Oloroso Sherry Casks.
Nose: Vanilla, raisins, raspberry, a touch of smokiness and a hint of oak spices.
Palate: Vanilla, raisins, raspberries, allspice, white pepper and oak spice. Caramel and red fruit on the back palate.
Finish: Medium length with a creamy mouthfeel. Oak and white pepper linger from the palate.
