Brave New Spirits (BNS) Voodoo "Coven of the Red Veil" 14 Year is a first for the Voodoo series: a blended grain whisky (North British & Cameronbridge), brought to life through the marriage of 1st fill St. Emilion Grand Cru wine casks and rich Jerez sherry wood.
As the nights draw in and autumn cloaks the world in shades of red and gold, BNS welcome the return of Voodoo, their most daring whisky project. Batch No. 3 is here, and it’s perfectly tuned for the dark, rain -oaked evenings, the flicker of candlelight, and the season of shadows.
This time, they have conjured some exceptional drams by diving into the art of pairing and layering different casks. This process was an absolute thrill for the BNS blending team, a creative process of trial, surprise, and discovery.
Nose: Stewed fruit and sweet grape-iness.
Palate: Layers of red fruit, toasted nuts, and autumn spice.
Finish: Long with plenty of tannin tugs. Slightly imbalanced and over-oaked.
