The Cadenhead Enigma Lowland 11 Year Old was distilled in 2013 and was finished in refill Oloroso sherry casks from 2023 until bottling in 2024.
The whiskies in the Cadenhead’s Enigma series are mysterious, unusual, hard to quantify, and perhaps even slightly contradictory.
They can be single casks, vattings of multiple casks, blends, blended malts or whatever else can be found that doesn’t fit into the existing Cadenhead bottling lineup but meets the only essential criteria — they are delicious.
Cadenhead's Tasting Notes
Nose: Fruit Salad sweets, figs and walnuts.
Palate: Grilled nectarines, wholemeal toast and butter, cherry fruit leather.
Finish: Caramel, chocolate, orange and nutmeg.
