Single cask Caol Ila from independent bottlers, James Eadie. Spirit distilled on the 15th of February 2011 was matured for 11 years, including a 13 month finishing period in a first-fill European oak Palo Cortado Sherry hogshead, before bottling on the 4th of October 2022. This hogshead yielded 293 individually numbered bottles at cask strength.
Nose: Citrus peels and brioche buns are joined by dried fruit, smoked meats, seaweed, and honey.
Palate: Earthy peat, clove, dark chocolate, and orchard fruits covered in dark honey.
Finish: Eucalyptus and a little salted caramel.
