Philippines-based Tanduay Rum is pleased to introduce a brand new expression, the Double Rum, to Canada. Its sister rum, Tanduay Asian, is the single largest selling rum in the world ... so you know the pedigree is there. The Double Rum is, as the name suggests, a blend of two rums: a “premium” rum that’s 16 years old and a “traditional” rum that’s 5 years old. These two rums are married together and aged for a further 2 years in first-fill bourbon barrel.
Nose: Grilled pineapple, mango, and citrus notes
Palate: Fruit carries through from the nose with pineapple note fully caramelizing. Vanilla, baking spice, Banana's Foster.
Finish: Medium finish with rich with brown sugar with a touch of maple syrup.
