This lightly peated Morven Single Malt Scotch Whisky is made from malted barley infused with smoke during the drying process. It’s a reflection of history – the original 19th-century distillery was largely fired by peat. Gentle distillation is followed by maturation in Wolfburn's purpose-built warehouses. Wolfburn also has a zero-waste goal – aiming for minimal environmental impact across production and logistics such as:
100% recycled glass bottles
Biodegradable natural wood corks
Plastic-free, recyclable packaging
100% recyclable cardboard for shipping
Barley husks (draff) repurposed as nutritious local cattle feed
Wastewater is reused by local farmers as natural fertilizer
Nose: Fresh Granny Smith apple, green grapes and soft, floral peat.
Palate: Nuttiness and soft smoke, oak spices, white pepper and orchard fruit on the back palate.
Finish: Shortbread dough on the rather long finish.
