Bottled by independent bottler, North Star Spirits, this single cask Caol Ila rested for 18 years in a select Pinot Noir cask and was bottled at natural cask strength (54.4% ABV).
The result is a Caol Ila of exceptional elegance.
Nose: Buttery, rum-soaked vanilla bean and a touch of wood.
Palate: Salted caramel and a hint of smoke on the front palate, tobacco leaf and old leather with spicy notes on the back palate.
Finish: Long and well integrated with lots of mineralogy and whiffs of peat smoke.
