Magnus Eunson, who founded Highland Park in 1798, was a direct descendant of those early Viking pioneers who settled in this island home, becoming part of Orkney and leaving their mark on the landscape, the culture and the people. Nose: Honey, sherry, vanilla, salty, hint of smoke and a hint of citrus.
Palate: Sea salt, citrus, soft smoke on the front palate ... vanilla, apples, pears, some honey and heather on the back palate.
Finish: Medium-long smokey finish with a caramel sweetness, Christmas spices, peaches and apples.
