This is the second release of Old Perth Vintage Collection - Vintage 1994. A unique vatting of single malt whisky distilled in 1994 and bottled just shy of its 28th anniversary. This expression was 100% matured in First Fill Oloroso Sherry Butts made from American Oak (Quercus Alba). The barrels originated from the prestigious Vasyma Toneleria in Jerez de la Frontera, Spain. As you might expect, after nearly 28 years of maturation in the finest sherry oaks cask, this whisky delivers a bold and powerful dram. This whisky was bottled without added colour and is non-chill filtered. Total worldwide outturn: 796 bottles.
Nose: Stewed plums, vanilla wafers with a dollop of cherry preserves.
Palate: Bold spices, creamy milk chocolate and stone fruits soaked in sherry.
Finish: Long finish with milk chocolate carrying through and lingering oak spices.
