Old Perth Blended Malt Cask Strength represents a relaunch in the Perth region of 'vatting' or blending single malts from two or more distinct distilleries.
This 100% blended malt exclusively uses sherry-matured malt from a selection of Scotland's finest distilleries, all located in the Glenlivet region of Speyside. This expression has sophisticated sherry-sweet tones and subtle spice at the heart, giving way to warm dried fruits and honeyed cloves.
Set up to be a malt drinker's everyday dram, the Old Perth Blended Malt is bottled at true cask strength and without chill-filtering or added colour.
Nose: Stewed red fruits, cinnamon, ginger and delicious warm berries. Doughy vanilla pastries lurk in the background.
Palate: Full mouthfeel that is Initially sweet with classic sherry notes of dried fruit. The velvet mouthfeel coats the mouth with more red fruits and some earthiness from the sherry.
Finish: A medium to long finish that is warming with white pepper and chili heat.
