Ardnamurchan Madeira Cask Release: bourbon casks from early 2018 were filled with a roughly 60/40 ratio of unpeated to peated spirit, then re-racked into Madeira casks for two years.
These casks were vatted just prior to reaching 7 years.
Ardnamurchan was the first distillery to be opened on the Ardnamurchan Peninsula.
100% of the hydroelectric power and cooling water for the stills are sourced from the Glenmore River flowing outside the distillery. Using wood chips from surrounding forests as fuel, a biomass boiler provides hot water to heat the stills. Local barley, grown on one of the owners' estates, is used for malt.
Total worldwide outturn: 19,000 bottles.
