This expression was included as part of the initial release of the WhiskyHeroes series. The 8 year old Annandale "Defender Of The Crown" was matured in 1st-fill Oloroso Sherry Hogshead before being bottled at a cask strength of 52.9%.
Total worldwide outturn: 676 bottles.
Nose: Grilled orchard fruit, forest floor, oak spices.
Palate: Sour Ju Jubes, chocolate Diablo cookies, with a bit of ashy peat smoke.
Finish: Long and peppery.
