A single cask release from the Glen Ord distillery located near Inverness in the heart of the Scottish Highlands. This expression was distilled in 2002, matured for 18 years in a refill American oak ex-bourbon barrel and bottled by independent bottler, Adelphi, in 2020. It should be noted that Adelphi is recognised as Scotland’s most acclaimed bottler of rare single and limited edition single malt whisky and this example is no exception. It is non chill-filtered and is presented without add colour and at natural cask strength. Total worldwide outturn: 112 bottles.
Nose: Casaba melon, red grapes, minty Pep chocolate bar
Palate: A mellow combination of tangy herbs such as bay leaves, honey and oak spices.
Finish: Long finish where the honey flows through to the finish.
