Jura 30 Year Old

There's more to Jura Single Malt Whisky than water, barley and yeast. A little bit of the distillery's Island home, the community and the passion makes it into every bottle. The water, or sometimes snow, filters down the Paps of Jura range and into the Market Loch below. It’s this water that then makes its way down to the distillery via streams and waterfalls to help shape this unique Single Malt. Jura has some of the tallest stills of any island distillery. Shipping them to this remote Island home wasn't easy. However, the taller the stills the purer the spirit. It takes time to make great-tasting whisky and it all starts with sourcing quality ingredients. Jura sources the best barrels from around the world to mature their unique island malt.

Nose: Sulphury sherry funk is prominent which then becomes raisiny sweetness. Demerara sugar, maple syrup, dark chocolate and continued earthy notes.

Palate:  Christmas pudding and almond skins. Bitter elements mixed with dark honey, sherry notes and dunnage funk.

Finish: Dry and spicy.
