Lagg Distillery is located at the southern end of the Isle of Arran and produces a range of heavily peated, modern and characterful Single Malt Whiskies. Production started in 2019, with the first recorded cut of spirit made on the 19th March of that year.
Batch 01 -Twice distilled, in our handmade copper pot stills, the spirit for this release was matured in first fill, ex-bourbon casks for just over three years prior to release. This expression is un-chill filtered and bottled without added colour.
Nose: Slightly astringent, hints of plaster and liquorice.
Palate: Oily mouthfeel with vegetal peat, tinned pineapple and ripe bananas, but also whiffs of white pepper.
Finish: Lingering spices and medicinal peat.
