Angel's Envy is celebrating the art of innovation with their unique Cask Strength Bottled-in-Bond bourbon.
The Method: Master Distiller Owen Martin filled 27 casks with a lower barrel entry proof of 51.5% ABV rather than the typical 62.5% ABV. By blending these low-proof barrels with two high-proof barrels from the exact same distillation season (thus preserving the BiB distinction) the whiskey hit exactly 100 proof naturally.
Mash Bill: 72% Corn, 18% Rye, 10% Malted Barley
Producer's Tasting Notes
Nose:Lightly caramelized sugars, vanilla wafers with a hint of banana pudding.
Palate: Sweet and balanced. Honey latte. Light fruit syrup and toasted oak.
Finish: Rounded and soft. Gently fades, begging for a second sip.
