Basil Hayden 10 Year Old
Regular price $98.00
This was named for Jim Beam's historic Master Distiller, Basil Hayden Sr who, in 1796, created a bourbon with a mash bill of corn and with a mix of small grains such as rye for added spice. Beam brings back an age stated version of Basil Hayden’s to the market with Basil Hayden’s 10 Year. Basil Hayden’s 10 Year is created using Jim Beam’s high-rye mashbill that is found in Old Grand-Dad and Old Grand-Dad 114. This bottling will be a limited release that will return in limited quantities each holiday season. It is Basil Hayden's oldest release to date.
Nose: The nose brings doses of summer fruits and oak.
Palate: Oak and sweet vanilla form the entirety of the palate. You might expect more complexity from a 10 year old bourbon.
Finish: Short. Light oak dominates with an ever-so-slight touch of sweetness.
