This bourbon connoisseur has one goal in mind – to seek out bourbons rare and wonderful, famous and forgotten, then bottle them in combinations previously unimagined for a lucky few.
Blood Oath Pact No. 12 continues the brand's tradition of one-time-only blends by using two unique styles of Italian wine casks to create a balanced, fruit-forward bourbon that stands apart from the growing crowd of red wine finished releases.
Blood Oath Pact No. 12 features a blend of 9 year ryed/bourbon, 12 year ryed/bourbon, and a 7 year ryed/bourbon that was finished in a Montepulciano wine cask and further finished in a Sangiovese wine cask.
Nose: Ripe red fruit, sun-dried tomatoes in oil with herbs.
Palate: Vanilla fudge, black cherry, polished leather and spicy hot cocoa
Finish: Long finish that lingers with spiced cocoa from the palate and anise at the very end.
