Bunnahabhain 12 Year Old
Regular price $85.00
Islay’s remote north east coast might seem a strange place to find a substantial Victorian distillery, but it was chosen in 1881 by William Robertson as the perfect spot for his island vision. While other Islay distilleries sold their make as single malts and also for blending, Bunnahabhain’s destiny was always with blending first and foremost. While it was used across the industry, Bunnahabhain was the backbone for three major blends: Famous Grouse, Cutty Sark and Black Bottle.
Nose: Fresh and aromatic, fruity floral with hints of dried fruit and a subtle prevalence of smoke.
Palate: Light with fruit notes, nutty flavours with a sweetness and slight hints of vanilla and caramel.
Finish: Lingering, beautifully rich and full-bodied.
