Original Collection whiskies provide a showcase from a variety of distilleries from Scotland and beyond. Each distillery has its own distinct character and flavour: Cadenhead selects casks from their warehouses in Campbeltown to explore and present the best that each one has to offer.
This expression is smoky, as anyone familiar with Ardmore would be expecting, and supplemented by a saltiness and some fruity notes (jack fruit, orange skin). The taste and finish are juicy and overall this dram is an excellent example of a whisky matured in ex-Marsala casks.
Nose: Smoked sausage, beach pebbles, sweet sticky BBQ sauce, coastal.
Palate: Slow cooked BBQ jack fruit, light coal soot, slight saltiness.
Finish: Burnt orange skin, juicy, good example of Marsala
