Heavily peated whisky from the Tobermory Distillery, Ledaig (pronounced "letch-ick") is known for its smoky flavour, accompanied by a slight fruitiness, a floral aroma and typical island whisky notes like sea salt.
Located on the northeast of the Isle of Mull, Tobermory was originally established (as Ledaig) in the late 1700s and, although it has had a complicated history, it is going strong to this very day, creating single malts that combine the waters from the Gearr Abhainn brook with traditional whisky-making methods.
This 14-year-old peated whisky from the Isle of Mull's only whisky distillery is deliciously smoky and packed full of flavour with notes of sweet peat, smoked cheese, custard cream biscuits and salty lobster meat.
