Bottled exclusively for Whisky Drop, this expression was distilled at the Speyside GlenAllachie distillery in 2008 and rested for 16 years in a combination of oak casks and oak octaves (9 months).
Total Worldwide Outturn: 72 bottles
Nose: Mulled fruit, spiced apple and plum, Fry’s Cocoa powder and a wisp of peat.
Palate: Dried heather, pipe tobacco with an unexpected brininess. Red stone fruits hover in the background.
Finish: Longish finish with dark cherry chocolate, vanilla biscuits, nutmeg and cinnamon.
