The whisky, which is soft gold in colour, shows all the classic attributes of Edradour, enriched by the soft vanilla, tangerine and coconut characteristics one typically associates with Bourbon maturation.
This is a small batch bottling matured exclusively in first-fill Bourbon barrels. Presented in a decanter style bottle, each comes with distillation and bottling date details. Bottled at natural cask strength and non-chillfiltered, this is full of intense flavours and originality.
Nose: Hints of lemon, peppermint, honey. In the background banana, light rum, vanilla bean.
Palate: French vanilla ice cream, baked Camembert cheese and oak spices. Adding water brings out fresh apple, mint, more honeyed vanilla and ripening gooseberries.
Finish: Mellow and lingering spicy tangerine and soft leather. Bananas and coconut at the very end.
