In the summer of 1886, with his seven sons and two daughters by his side, William set out to fulfil a lifelong ambition. Together, they began building his Distillery by hand, stone by stone. After a single year of work, it was ready, and William named it Glenfiddich, Gaelic for Valley of the Deer.
The Fire & Cane is the fourth release in Glenfiddich's Experimental Series, showcasing their innovative approach to whisky making. Glenfiddich uses peated whisky in the Fire & Cane, which is known for its smoky character.
Producer's Tasting Notes
Nose: Billowing soft peat notes, like distant smoke on the wind. Rich, sweet toffee with zesty, fresh fruit notes and a hint of spiciness.
Palate: Like a Highland peat campfire, with oak notes and toffee. Sharp green fruit, sweet baked apple and soft smoke.
Finish: Lingering smokiness and sweetness
